🍫 A Sweet Adventure: Our Girlguiding Unit's Day at Cadbury World

Last month, 3 units from around the division embarked on a delightful day trip to Cadbury World in Birmingham, and what a chocolatey adventure it was! From immersive rides to hands-on chocolate-making experiences, our girls had a blast exploring the world of Cadbury.

🚍 Journey to Bournville

We began our day with an exciting coach journey to Bournville, home of Cadbury World. The girls were buzzing with anticipation, and the journey was filled with chatter about what awaited them.

🍫 Exploring the Chocolatey Zones

Upon arrival, we dived straight into the various attractions Cadbury World had to offer:

  • Cadbury Chocolate Quest: This interactive ride took us on a mission to collect ingredients for a Dairy Milk bar. With the help of Freddo and his team, we navigated through 3D sets and virtual screens, making it a thrilling experience for all.

  • 4D Chocolate Adventure: We joined Freddo and other characters on a rollercoaster journey through liquid chocolate, complete with special effects that had everyone laughing and gasping in delight.

  • Have A Go Zone: In this hands-on area, the girls tried their hand at piping and chocolate tempering, learning from expert chocolatiers and creating their own sweet treats.

  • The Bournville Experience: We took a trip back in time to learn about the history of Bournville village and the Cadbury family's heritage, gaining insight into the values that shaped the brand.

🍽️ A Delicious Break

After exploring, we refueled at the Cadbury World Café, enjoying a light lunch and some well-deserved rest. The café offered a variety of options to satisfy everyone's taste buds.

🛍️ Sweet Treats and Souvenirs

No trip would be complete without a visit to the Cadbury World Shop. The girls had the chance to pick out their favorite chocolates, from classic Dairy Milk bars to exclusive treats not available elsewhere. The shop boasts a wide range of 350 items, including giant 850g Dairy Milk bars and handmade chocolates crafted on-site.

🎉 Highlights of the Day

  • Teamwork and Fun: The girls worked together during the Chocolate Quest, supporting each other and celebrating their successes.

  • Learning Through Play: The interactive exhibits made learning about chocolate production and history engaging and fun.

  • Creating Memories: From the 4D adventure to the chocolate-making workshop, the day was filled with laughter and shared experiences that the girls will cherish.
